An update
It doesn't seem that long ago we started this little book club blog; in fact it's been less than 2 years. But, in that time we've cycled through the family with everyone having a chance to choose a book for the club twice. Some of us couldn't narrow the selection to a single book. Some have picked a book after the first in a series, causing others of us to go back and read the preceding books. Some of us have chosen books that prompted reading books later in the series, as well. And some have chosen not to participate.
A couple numbers you might be interested to know. If you've read all of the books that were selected each month (including the months where there was more than one book), so far you've read 22 books! If you're like me, that includes books you might not have otherwise read. Those books are comprised of 7,268 pages!
That's a lot of reading.
And, now, we start cycle number 3, with Dad's choices for April in the preceding post.

April Book: Wicked Appetite or The Boys in the Boat
Dad's turn, again, and as becomes him, he can't make a choice. So, the choice is yours! Pick either, or both, if you can't choose either. The first option is Wicked Appetite by Janet Evanovich. Dad writes:
"Witch/Warlock style book set in modern-day Salem. Very humorous. Start of a series, if you want to get hooked. Clean, but with a few double entendres."
I'll make this comment: in searching for this book, I came to learn that Janet Evanovich is a Romance author. And this is definitely a trashy romance. But it's fun and not nearly as dirty as you would expect a romance novel to be.
The second option is The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown. Dad writes:
"This is the story of the University of Washington rowing team that went to Hitler's Olympics in 1936. It's a great depression-era story and a good read. Fairly long."
Both books have files in the dropbox. Unfortunately, searching everywhere, I was unable to find a ebook of Wicked Appetite, so if you want that one you're either on your own to find it in print at the library, or you'll have to settle for audio. (UPDATE: I found an ebook for this, after all. Epub/mobi files are in the dropbox.) The Boys in the Boat is available in all formats.
(Funny note, since Boys is a new and VERY popular book, in order to get the audio I had to sneak into the library where it was being held for someone else, steal it for a half hour to rip it, and then return it to the holds shelf. It was that or wait until probably October to get it; so I sneaked).

February Book: Agenda 21: Into the Shadows
Sarah's choice for this month is Agenda 21: Into the Shadows by Harriet Parke, also tagged with Glenn Beck as owner of the publication rights.
Unfortunately, because this is a brand new book, I have been unable to locate either an ebook or audiobook of this title, so you're on your own to find a paper copy from the library or other source.

January Book: As You Wish
For January, Doug has chosen the book As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride by Cary Elwes. Cary Elwes, as we all know, was Westley, or the Dread Pirate Roberts in the movie. So, it should be good.
Appropriate ebook files are in the dropbox. However, the audiobook is on order from the library and is not yet available. So, it looks like print is the way to go, this time!
