Coincidentally, the Salt Lake County Library's September reading challenge is to read a book by a local (Utah) author. James Dashner is a resident of Utah and a graduate of Brigham Young University, so you could complete that challenge with this book, as well. This book has recently been adapted to a film, which opens this month (9-19-14), as well. It should be an exciting read.

I'm glad I read the book before the movie came out, so I can get my own opinions on how everything should look in the glad and the maze. But I just couldn't picture the grievers so I'm really excited to watch the movie! I liked this book, even though it had very violent things happening all the time. I'm reluctant to read the other books in the series because I'm sure they'll be a letdown.
